SpeedRoomy ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SpeedRoomy mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

- Communications: Messages you send through in-app chat features.
- Event Participation: Your RSVP status and attendance at SpeedRooming events.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's geographic location to provide location-based features such as nearby roommate discovery and event notifications.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features used, screens visited, and actions taken.
- Push Notification Tokens: Device tokens for sending push notifications, stored securely and used only for delivering notifications you have opted into.
- Crash Reports: Diagnostic data collected through Firebase Crashlytics to help us identify and fix bugs.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Social Sign-In Providers: When you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier from those services. We do not receive your social media passwords.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Other Users: Your profile information (name, photos, bio, lifestyle preferences, compatibility scores) is visible to other SpeedRoomy users as part of the roommate matching experience. You can control your visibility through privacy settings.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the App, including Firebase (authentication, crash reporting), Hasura (database), Expo (push notifications), and cloud hosting providers. These providers only access your data as necessary to perform their services.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Your data is stored on secure servers managed by our cloud hosting providers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

SpeedRoomy is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17.
