By downloading, installing, or using the SpeedRoomy mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
SpeedRoomy is operated by SpeedRoomy ("we", "our", or "us"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use SpeedRoomy, you must:
- Be at least 17 years of age
- Be capable of forming a binding contract
- Not be prohibited from using the App under applicable laws
- Not have been previously banned from SpeedRoomy
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at contact@speedroomy.com.
- You may not create multiple accounts or transfer your account to another person.
4. How SpeedRoomy Works
SpeedRoomy is a platform that helps users find compatible roommates and apartments. The App provides:
- Roommate Matching: Users are matched based on location, lifestyle preferences, and compatibility scores.
- Community Events: SpeedRooming events where users can meet potential roommates in person.
- Communication: In-app messaging and connection features between matched users.
- Apartment Listings: Hosts can list available rooms and apartments.
SpeedRoomy is a platform for connecting users. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any roommate arrangement, apartment listing, or event. We are not a party to any agreement between users.
5. User Conduct
When using SpeedRoomy, you agree to:
- Provide truthful and accurate profile information
- Treat other users with respect and courtesy
- Use the App only for its intended purpose of finding roommates and apartments
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
You agree not to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise offensive
- Use the App for any commercial purpose unrelated to roommate/apartment matching
- Send spam, solicitations, or unsolicited advertising
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Post false or misleading apartment listings
- Collect or harvest other users' personal information
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access controls
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Use the App to facilitate illegal activities
6. Content and Intellectual Property
6.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you post on SpeedRoomy (photos, bio text, messages). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of providing our services.
You are solely responsible for the content you post and represent that you have the right to share it.
6.2 Our Content
The SpeedRoomy name, logo, design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by SpeedRoomy. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission.
7. Events
- SpeedRooming events are community gatherings designed to help users meet potential roommates.
- By attending an event, you accept responsibility for your own safety and conduct.
- We reserve the right to remove any user from an event for violating these Terms or community guidelines.
- Event organizers must provide accurate event details and ensure events comply with local laws.
- SpeedRoomy is not liable for any incidents that occur at events.
8. Apartment Listings
- Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their apartment listings.
- Listings must represent real, available properties.
- Hosts must comply with all applicable housing laws, including anti-discrimination laws.
- SpeedRoomy does not verify listings and is not responsible for the accuracy, quality, or legality of any listing.
- Any rental agreements are between the host and tenant directly. SpeedRoomy is not a party to these agreements.
9. Privacy
Your use of SpeedRoomy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
10. Blocking and Reporting
- You can block other users at any time. Blocked users cannot see your profile or contact you.
- You can report users who violate these Terms or community guidelines.
- We review reports and may take action including warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent ban.
- We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend any account at our discretion.
11. Account Termination
- You may delete your account at any time. See our User Data Deletion page for instructions.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, without prior notice.
- Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including limitations of liability, disclaimers, and intellectual property).
12. Disclaimers
SpeedRoomy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- We do not verify the identity, background, or character of any user.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of compatibility scores or matching algorithms.
- We are not responsible for the actions, behavior, or conduct of any user, whether online or at events.
- We strongly recommend meeting potential roommates in public places and exercising caution.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeedRoomy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Any interactions with other users, whether online or in person
- Any roommate arrangements or housing decisions made through the App
- Any events attended through the App
- Unauthorized access to your account or data
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SpeedRoomy, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
